Anal Bleachers defeats mental 26-5 Reviewed by Spa (click name to read) Download the films from this match. I have to give this set of games a 4 pumpkin award, despite the rather dull 3rd game, as most ctfs are - the first two made this set of films great fun to watch, review - and, probably to have played. When reviewing last week, I mistakenly thought that Duck Killa was on wwo's team, and repeated myself a number of times suggesting that WTC will be a finalist - and while I still think Duck can get them to the finals, I have now realized that the Anal Bleachers are the team that I fear most, and will probably be the Randy Couture that pulls off the UFC heavyweight title fight defeat of the Tim Sylvia that is tcox. Enjoy. I decided to let my review come in the form of edited images for most of this game - as you will be able to distill the true essence of this match by simply witnessing the hilarity that ensues when the cap makes one simple slip in pregame...which takes....well...you shall see. I have stripped out much of the mental chat, not because I did not enjoy it, but so as to offer you, the viewers, an uncluttered glance into the heart of the matter in ABS's deft handling and nearly flawless coordination and support - as a response to a mistake their cap made, and not any direct response to the offensive gestures of their enemy. The trades and % detatchements were similar, to a point, and the ABS plan seemed to be very sound, covering the map effectively, gaining flags easily, and stalling their opponent at the corner flag, utilizing one of their better players whose mission it was to simply stall and die. ABS talked mostly about a poker game during PT, and mental seemed very prepared, talking about not too much at all. Both teams seemed relaxed.....until.....wwo - made an oops. Luckily, ABS is good enough to almost beat themselves, but still be able to beat the enemy first. back to the game. Myrk has done an excellent job of handling as many as 4 of the mental players at once, their almost 50%, against his 12-14%....and they manage only to kill his archers and a ghol - leaving him with 3 wars and 4 thrall. Flatline has some brilliantly placed carpet bomb shots, but then loses his duff due to a nicely placed CB shot from mental...despite that his deflection spell had not worn off...which oddly enough, casts flat's duff body and his 4 sats directly towards the mental flag - which helps a little when ABS finally assaults the final of 6 - and wins it. ABS: 65% intact, 6 flags - mental 26% intact; 5 flags. New caps, wwo sits this one out....(a.k.a. Nem becomes a front seat driver). At first, I had to keep looking at the screen....in disbelief...thinking; "surely - this can't be their trade" then...I read their chat....and knew....these guys were simply out to have a good time. Having spent a great deal of my gaming time playing random rabble games, I am a true fan of the unconventional - especially when it's launched by a trade like this. Kudos boys - I'd rate you 5 balls on your bravado and style alone. of course....ABS has no idea yet..... - not until they actually see what they are up against... Myrk - the only player from ABS that is flanking - with serks, 5 souls, and a duff - comes upon the 6 wights, and saves ratios by knocking them down with souls and duff, instead of sac'ing a serk or two. While it was fun for both teams to play, it was also interesting to watch as the max duffs loaded up the waters near mid and created a minefield, which proved costly as ABS attempted and debated taking back the mid flag. Ultimately, they tagged everything else on the board, surrounding and pinching mental to hold them there- and decided upon a coordinated rush at 3:00 from all sides...pigs first. The explosion that ensued was legendary stuff, as bits of trow ended up back on pmnet (...these games were cleverly played on Mnet, avoiding too many lurkers and game delays). Game over: ABS 52% and 7 flags - mental 0% and 0 flags...but all happy. Well, after those last two, I can't possibly give you more images, it takes too long to prepare and code in, and CTF isn't really worth it. Return to IndexSame exact trades, and most everything mid - cept mental flanking both sides with trow on each, and about 7 serks in tow. Nothing of this game was spectacular - oh, except that at one brief moment, Gin of mental caused ABS to clench their butts like they were gettin collective root canals without anesthetic... Nem, on D - was micro managing against the assaulting Trow and serks - and he nearly let the serks rush to take the flag v one lone warrior - while he focused on the trow and keeping the duff. it was close enough that much of ABS was already returning to home to help bolster the D, no sweat for them - having mostly won mid already... and after they took care of the rushing flanks, they set back in action, assaulting mentals flag - and slipping through well enough that they maintained 80% of there units as they won the flag... Great games....mental, you have class and style, and played very well against what I think is one of the all time powersquads of myth. And now - we should all fear ABS...unless wwo is the captain of course. |
