The Wight Foundation defeats The Furious Gypsies 45-13 Reviewed by Seeker (click name to read) Download the films from this match. This match starts out with a pretty interesting first game but quickly degenerates into a TWF dongfest. A pretty unimpressive dongfest at that. Also, I didn't bother to do fact checking. TWF starts out with 6. Gypo starts out with 3. This was also the closest match of the series. TWF & Gypo both captured 7 flags, with both sides unable to catch each other's heavily fortified middle. Gypo impressed me here by showing some sort of pulse, and tactical ability. This included being able to situate their D on the easily defensible middle flag, and managing to sneak into and capturing units in TWF's back field. TWF on the other hand played like dog shit this game for a team of their calibre. Some bright moments include: A. Krusader unable to grasp simple orders from Regulus such as never telling him whether or not he intended on putting arcs on their flag as Reg ordered him to (He eventually did so). In addition to being hesistant about following orders, Kru also suicided quite a few of his melee into some warlock shots from a gypo player who didn't know how to use spacebar (watch film to see). B. Allowing Gypo to enter their backfield in their first place. These are 3 not very experienced reg players... you gotta be able to dong them to oblivion with your superior micro abilities. See Blade suiciding his melee units up north for evidence of TWF dogging it in this regard. C. Regulus' mystery melee moonwalkers: Now, to be fair Reg himself wondered what happened to these melee moonwalkers. Regardless, Gypo sucked enough despite their potential for half decent play to allow TWF to win this. Note: I'll admit B was a slight stretch. This game was clearly much better. TWF came out with a clearer defense, and did a better job of minimizing Gypo's backfield melee rush, allowing Gypo to only cap 6 flags (I'm too f'ed to actually bother to fact check here). They also recieved help from Gypo stacking way too much artillery on an overflowing mid tower. This was capped by Gypo placing 3 warlocks close together, and then proceeding to pretty much not use them the entire match. This allowed for a much easier mid flag capture for the TWF forces. It also didn't help for Gypo's cause that they were down to 2 players for this game and all subsequent games. TWF expects a mid rush that never comes. Rather, Gypo splits their forces. Empty Phil is absurdly late with his rush south, often stopping for periods of time and admiring the scenery. Regulus attempts to wight's bongboy's forces and partially succeeds. Blade is right in saying that he probably should have been given the wight. Reg missed a golden opportunity to get all of Bongboy's units. However, Empty Phil's tardy units damn Gypo in the end. For you see just as he's about to rush a relatively open TWF flag, his team's flag is capped by TWF forces that understand the importance of time. For you see Bongboy, those twf forces that you thought were not moving in the middle... well, you were wrong. TWF dongs them in severe fashion. The final score was 93%-0% or something like that. Gypo decided to play the afk game with quite a few of their units allowing TWF to wreck them for free kills and ratio whoring. This part of the match wasn't TWF impressing with skillful play, but rather taking advantage of a Gypo squad that's had the fight beaten out of them. Hannibal provides the best pregame commentary in this entire match with the following dialog: TWF wights these fools to death in a game of super wight ratio power. Return to IndexEmpty Phil tries to delay the game against his partner's wishes, but TWF puts his ghol to a merciful end. GGs everyone. |
