The top players will likely prove too hot for him but he might surprise.

Verminix has become over the past year one of the best players around. He used to be better at dark maps than light, but no more: he might be the best player there is on KG, for instance. He's a mid four baller.

Verm seemed to come out of nowhere around 03, and is a very good player.  He doesn't always listen to instructions, but he knows what to do anyway, so sometimes that turns out better.
