Review by Dantski - Overview

Before I start, there will be no pictures. I can't be arsed to do pictures since they take too long! I also have no idea if this match is any good.

So I predicted TC to do quite well before QR this tournament as long as they showed up in force. On the other hand I thought IX would prove cannon fodder and may forfeit their way out of the tournament.

If anything this proves that anything people say in TA's etc, are purely opinion and not actually, cold hard scientific facts.

IX are 1-1 in the QR approaching this match after I shock victory over the fancied Why Tu K. Their turnout has been good so far and their hopes are high heading into this match!

TC on the other hand were completely destroyed in their 2 previous games, and have only fielded 4 players for each game.

IX's 6 take on TC's 5 (their record attendance!)

Game 1 - Flag Rally on Lichen unto Death Final (light)
Early signs aren't good for either team. IX fails to pick up all the right pus, TC is using warriors as flag defence + left a pus at home.

SCS and Oxi cast repel fields over their dorfs, SCS manages to get 1 really losuy throw off, while Oxi blows his duff up to cries of "WTF?!"

Bartek and Mark kinda mess up their attack on TC's temple, but fortunately Sherman decides not to press his rush on a dorf he's right next to and that costs them the flag.

Meanwhile TC loses north for some reason or other. Someone says 'rush' on TC, but when I look at it, its already dead.

Diomedes runs around TC's last flag a bit to delay the end by a whopping 2 seconds and IX tags it out

Post Game Comments!

TC really should of held their temple flag, even with their north getting stomped, it could of kept it tighter

IX 10-4 TC

Game 2 - Territories on Caer Cadarn (Trow)
IX splits their Trow 3 ways for some reason, most of their players are unhappy with their units and switch around a bunch in PT. TC splits stuff normally, Sherman is forced to take all their soulless.

IX's unit squabbling continues for the first couple of minutes of the game which leaves 3 fetch and a bunch of soulless way behind middle. Somehow Tireces has ended up with 6 fetch which he clumps really tightly. This doesn't stop him blowing the hell out of Diomedes though.

Phae scares the IX fetch away with some competent work, only for SCS to suicide his zerks into all 3 IX trow. With no melee left and really bad Trow shadowing, the IX trow kick SCS's fetch, Oxi runs a bit too far though and gets his trow keeled.

At this point IX have a 15% lead and YC's hopes rely on using their Trow advantage + Phae's fetch + splitting up Sherms soulless to dead TC players.

Phae starts this well by raping Tir's 5 hurt fetch with his 3.

Ksiaze tells hios team not too push too hard, Ksiaze's fetch still haven't fired a single shot yet though. Oxi notices this and starts yelling at him to use them, he wusses out instead and hands them to Tir who basically ends up using all of IX's fetch this game. While Sherms souls are finally split up. Tc have reduced their arrears to just 2%.

TC is in a good posiiton but needs SCS to get his souls into action. However he is too busy with 2 zerks in IX's backfield to notice right away. He does push Tir's fetch back though.

Guildenstern makes a good call telling IX to pull back. However the rest of IX seem to be planning what looks like a suicidal rush.

Thr rush works though since Dc's Trow decide to rush into IX's souls and die stupidly.

TC's still have a chance though, there might be enough time for their soul legions + backfield melee to steal this from a very hurt set of IX units.

IX retreats out of a soul pinch mid, and they destroy TC's melee in their backside.

At the end, IX makes a clumsy attempt to coordinate middle but still easily takes the flag, while a lone TC soul tags SW.

6-1 in flags

Post Game Comments!!

Tireces only manages to break even in kills losses despite having all of IX's fetch. TC's melee + Trow suiciding cost them heavily when they got rushed. Phae probably could have done more damage, but then he did a pretty good job anyway.

IX 17-5 TC

Game 3 - Capture The Flag on Grilling Grounds (Light)
Both teams flank trows, Oxi's is poorly shadowed and he kicks TC's defensive duff in the midst of some of their melee. The TC Trow chases him away, while the east TC trow abandons some zerks to Marks trow.

Both teams exchange some archers and stuff mid.

Dc's east trow pulls back to help his other Trow vs Oxi's weak Trow for some reason while Mark's Trow descends on middle.

Marks Trow completely kicks the crap out of an unprepared TC middle with the help of zerks. SCS blames asteroids for this turn of events.

Dc's Trow meanwhile are still 100% health and have done crap all but chase Oxi's Trow. He can still rush IX though if he does it well

He rushes

He does it badly

Post Game Comments!!!

Dc's 2 Trow manage 52 dmg

Marks 1 Trow + 3-5 zerks get 214 dmg

IX 7-0 TC
