So, you'd like to lend a hand? Here's a listing of all the jobs that we're going to need help with. Choose one that's appropriate for your time and effort commitment level, and email the MWC Staff to apply.

Myth World Cup 2001 will basically consume the entire summer, so keep that in mind as you think about your free time.

Neutral Hosts
This one is pretty self explanatory, if you've got an excellent host that people rarely complain on, and you're willing to host matches, let us know, and upon advance request from team captains, we'll ask if you can host a match at a specific time. There should be 24 hour notice before any match we ask you to host.

Match Reporters
As a match reporter, you will download films from recent matches, watch them, and input the statistics into our specially designed script. No HTML or technical knowledge required.
We need approximately 8 match reporters, workload should be around 1 to 2 hours per week, depending on whether you waste time watching the films! :)

Film Reviewers
Arguably one of the most important jobs in the MWC. As a film reviewer, you'll download films from previously played matches, and write up some commentary on the gameplay for our audience.
A couple things this year are different than in years passed. There will only be one page for your review, so 3 or 4 paragraphs for the entire match is all we need. We don't want long and detailed reporting on what each team did, we want a holistic description of how each team played and chose to play. Of course, if you're on a roll with some funny stuff, take as long as you like. The key is reader interest.
In order to review matches, all you have to do is do one, and submit it without a password. If it's good, you'll get a username and password to claim matches in advance, so that no one else will be able to submit a review before you can finish. If it's not so good, it will probably still be posted, but after some constructive criticism from the head reviewer.
A typical review should take around 2 or 3 hours.

Head Reviewer -- Filled
The head reviewer will be in charge of the review section of the tournament. This won't be nearly as intensive as last year, since there is no elite film reviewing squad, and the entire process has been automated. The head reviewer will basically approve reviews from beginning reviewers, who have not yet received a username and password, and either provide advice or issue them a username and password.
No HTML required, written communication skills a big plus, should consume about 3 hours a week. Please include a sample piece of writing.

Threat Assessments
We will be pursuing an aggressive goal for threat assessments. If our goals are met, every team and every player will have a threat assessment, and team assessments will be updated weekly. We'll need about a dozen people, who will then write for as many teams and players as they are familiar with. They'll then be responsible for updating their team assessments as the weeks roll on. At the beginning, this should probably take a total of 8 hours of work in the space of two weeks, but the workload will then fall off abruptly. This crew will also be polled in order to assign skill ratings.

Spotlight Matches -- Filled
Whoever is in charge of the spotlight matches will write up a column every week talking about the upcoming matches that will be most exciting, along with some good natured ribbing and some predictions.
This shouldn't take more than an hour a week.

Team of the Week -- Filled
Each week this columnist will pick one team who played exceptionally well, defeated a highly skilled opponent, or displayed amazing strategy. He'll then proceed to write about them and their match.
Sense of humor a huge plus. Shouldn't take more than 2 hours a week.

Match of the Week -- Filled
Each week this columnist will pick one match, between two skilled teams that both played excellent games. He'll then basically do a more in-depth review of the match, with some visual aids and anecdotes.
Once again, sense of humor is a big plus, and article shouldn't take more than 2 hours per week.

Other columnists
We'll also be accepting columns on other topics, in fact anything related to Myth or even gaming in general is fair game. If you have something to say, get an idea, or just need to rant and you can do it eloquently, submit what you've got, without a password.
