Biography:
Ranulf Appleton, a peaceful Briton of Saxon
heritage, was forced to take up the cold steel of
war when Norman invaders wiped out his village,
killing his family and many of his friends. Now he
roams the moors with a small group of friends,
fighting for independence from the oppressors
and causing havoc whenever possible. A friendly
character and a good ally, not highly skilled in
the art of war, being more at home with the lute
and lyre then the sword and satchel (a musician
by profession), but determined and persistent.
