Biography:
Well...hrm... where to begin? I guess I might repeat some of this in our clan's bio info, but what the heck:
I was first introduced to Myth: TFL back in 1998 when I bought the game with a 56k modem, and for $15, that was probably the best game purchase I ever made. I quickly caught on with the game, and soon found myself involved in a clan, the Ministry of Death. MoD was quite possibly one of the larger clans of its time back on TFL, but unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, and I left the clan several months after Myth 2 came out. It was an amazing clan though for the time I served as it's 2nd member to join, and I'll never forget the people I met through the clan itself.
Immidiately after that, I decided it was time to try my luck at my own clan, and after a long time trying to pick a name, I came up with the Mercenaries of Light. Though our roster has changed from our original founding, key members from the early times can always still be found here, and with almost two years as a clan, MoL is one of the best things I could ever be a part of.
I'm also extrememly involved in the Myth community: frequenting Myth Townhall's forums, being a part of the Myth.Slave Network (soon™ to be the largest Myth site Network in existance), and am the infamous webmaster and leader of the Ministry of Security - the anti-lamer coalition that cheaters love to hate =) Site's up soon people, I promise: http://mos.bungie.org
I'm really into the whole Myth community as much as the game itself - there are so many interesting things to do and people to meet regarding the community that built itself up around a single game.
But enough about that stuff, I know what you're all after - my mad skilz :D Well, let me just say that after playing "regular" Myth since the days of TFL, I've picked up quite a bit of skills, and if you don't know me it's only because I definitely don't frequent the ranked rooms much anymore... unless it's for official MoS business . Let me just say this from my own experience: It's the people that only play unranked that never get the recognition that they deserve as being a "veteran" or "elite" player. The only ones people seem to recognize anymore are those that are the biggest names in ranked - so just because you haven't heard of me, doesn't mean I can't wipe out your units =) Ask around in unranked, and I guarantee you will find a ton of people that know me there.
I haven't been too big on tournaments, only because leading a clan and keeping its web site up-to-date has a downside in that it definitely limits my time for these sort of things . However, I have always had a great intrest in the Myth World Cups since the first one I played in, and after that I couldn't get enough of them =) To date, I've participated in the following tournaments:
Myth World Cup 99
Myth World Cup 2000
Clever Name Here
The Bloody Depths
Champions of Myth
and of course soon™ - MWC2k1
Ok, no I didn't win any of these that I played in, but I have a lot of fun playing in them, and in a game that's all that really matters. I'm here to have fun, but I'm here to win, make no mistake about that. MoL is prepared to give this tournament their very best, so despite our TA, don't underestimate us =) I have some great skillz as a captain, and I hope to use that to my advantage here as I help lead MoL to victory!
